No, there is currently NO personal income tax applied to salaries in Saudi Arabia. What you earn is what you keep, minus social security (GOSI) deductions if applicable. Saudi nationals have a 9.75% deduction for GOSI/SANED, while Expatriates generally have a 0% deduction from their own salary.
Employees pay a total of 9.75% of their gross salary (Basic + Housing). This is split into 9% for Annuities (Pension) and 0.75% for SANED (Unemployment Insurance).
Expatriate employees do not pay any GOSI deductions from their own salary. Their Net Salary is exactly equal to their Gross Salary. The employer pays 2% for hazards.
